Y the last man-vaughan

Y the last man is a comic book series and created by Brian K. Vaughan. The main character Yorick who is an unemployed, escape artist quickly finds himself the only man on the planet. An unexplained plague wiping out all humans with the Y chromosome. But for some mysterious reason Yorick and his pet monkey Ampersand, who is also a male, are the only males to survive. He is on the journey with a scientist and an agent and they must find out some solution to their problem. But they have obstacles in the way like a deadly woman cult and non-American government officials following after him.

This is the first comic book I have ever read and I find it entertaining. I really enjoyed reading it and found that I couldn’t put the book down. Even though the book sounds like it would be filled with blood and gore, and don’t get me wrong it is half the time, it was very comical and amusing. But this book also got me thinking if this actually happen. There is a bit of realism here. Could these events in the book happen in real life? Having the government fall apart and having a Mad Max theme going on. No one will know for sure but since this hasn’t happen yet or probably never will I won’t think to deeply about it. These books had me laughing and I was on the edge of my seat with the events that took place in these books. I would recommend these books and I also find myself looking forward to reading more comic books.
